I have a confession to make. Secretly I've been "blog stalking" or "Blocking" on so many cool cool sites. Mostly they're craft sites, but still. I'm fascinated by the way that they can show their creativity and are so open to showing others how to do it as well.
I'm not as clever in showing people step-by-step instructions because (1) why re-invent the wheel and (2) see reason (1). ;o) But I do like to post what my crafts have turned out like and think that it would be neat to also post some recipes that I think are FANTABULOUS and easy to make!
You might ask, why have a blog called "Creative Octopus"? Well, I posted this on my other blog a while back and it pretty much explains it:
I like to think of myself when it comes to creativity as an Octopus. I bet you're wondering, "what in the heck is that supposed to mean?"
I saw a nature video a few years ago that showed an Octopus placed in a tank. And in the tank was a glass jar with some type of shellish food inside it with a lid screwed on top. It looked at the jar, and was just moving it around trying to figure out how to open it. It had no clue. So what they did next was put a plexi-glass to divide the Aquarium in half and placed another Octopus on the other side. Another glass container was put in the 2nd Octopus' tank. It knew already how to open the jar, and munched down on its food. So the first Octopus watches this whole thing and then is able to quickly open its own jar. So I guess I'm saying is that I am fascinated by the way people create things and want to know how they do it before I even start on a project.
So there you have it. I have LOTS of projects that I'm currently brainstorming on and can't wait to show you more of my crafty side!
